27th August... The FA Carlsberg Sunday Cup
Our only entrant into the above competition, Lion Hillcarter have been handed a home draw in the first round on Sunday 17th October against Hessle Rangers. The match will kick of at 2.00pm at Grayfields.
25th August.....The Hourglass Athletic FC players
The league has now applied to Durham County Football Association to have all registered members of the above club, suspended from ALL football activities until each pays their pro rata share of monies owed to the league by the club in respect of affiliation fees, league fees and fines. Each player will receive a letter from the league, countersigned and stamped by the County FA. The sum of £14.00 is required in order for the suspension to be uplifted.
19th August 2010..... Transfer Approach forms
Clubs are reminded that once a transfer approach form is completed by both clubs, the club wishing to approach the player MUST retain the approach form. DO NOT SEND TO THE LEAGUE SECRETARY. We will randomly select transfers, where the approach form will be requested for inspection.
08th August 2010... Arthur Gibbon Memorial Shield
The 2010-11 season kicked-off with the traditional curtain raiser, League Champions Rovers FC, took on John Dowson Memorial Cup Winners, Owton Manor Social Club FC at Grayfields Enclosure. Rovers attempt to acquire the seasons first trophy was thwarted for the second time in a row, with Owton Manor winning 1-0, the only goal coming in the last minute of the game. Referee Appointments Secretary, Dennis Skilbeck, presented the shield to the winning captain. Also presented was the Referee of the year award to Tony Steele.

04th August 2010... The Hourglass Athletic FC
It is with regret that we must announce that The Hourglass Athletic FC have been expelled from the league at tonights league meeting. In accordance with league rules, we have given the club 21 days to discharge all financial liabilities to the league. If the club fails to fulfil its obligation, we will apply to the County FA to have all players registered to the club at the end of the 2009-10 season suspended until they pay their pro-rata share, plus administration costs. Fixtures have been revised accordingly.
01st August 2010... Player re-registration deadline
The deadline for submitting player re-registration forms has now passed. Any player wishing to sign for any club (including the same one they played for 2009-10 season, must now complete a standard registration form. The form must be submitted with the £2 fee. Players cannot play for their club until 7 days from the date we receive the form.
